AkuMana Ch137

(In the third arc, during a problem that breaks out while visiting an art museum, I get turned into the form of a child, and it’s there where [I] get accompanied by David.)

But the David in the game mostly shunned Francesca at first and tried to leave her behind.

[Wa-wait a moment, David-san…….!]

[Shaddup, stop following me. Sorry but I’m gonna do whatever and however I want to.]

The 17yr old student David, and the small child form Francesca weren’t going to be able to walk at the same pace in the first place.

During the opening portion of the third arc, there was a scene where Francesca would be in deep pain because of it.

[Why do I have to take care of some damn brat. I already have to deal with all this troublesome shit going down on my own as well……If you can’t even return to your actual size, I have no merit to helping you.]

[I-I’m sorry………I, want to, return back as well though.]

Her child body lacked in stamina which was seemingly causing a lot of problems.

It was only when a person turned 10 that their skills would manifest.

As such, Francesca who had been turned into a girl younger than even that, she had become unable to use any of her skills.

In the game, Francesca was at a complete loss having been completely weakened.

[……..Sorry..for all the trouble…….]

[…….Tch.]

The game’s David clicked his tongue seemingly stumped and troubled, and then spoke to Francesca again.

[Your crying face is not pretty at all.]

[I-I’m sorry……..ah]

[Come, you twerp.]

In front of a surprised Francesca, David then continued.

[If I left a young girl crying alone, my sis would kill me……..Here, I’ll hold your hand so stop crying okay?]

[……!!]

The scene of David holding hands with child Francesca was an illustrated still in the game as well.

And thus in the game’s third arc, David and child Francesca will work together to find a way to get her back to normal as well as solve and find the truth behind the ongoing incident.

(But this time, wouldn’t the details change greatly compared to the game? After all..)

Having left the school building, Francesca puffed her chest with pride and hope in her heart.

(—-I already know the way to return back to an adult body after all!)

That was the biggest difference between the game’s Francesca and herself.

(The method needed to return back to her adult body is for [Francesca] to ‘reveal her true thoughts and feelings’ to everyone. In the game, [I] was at my breaking point having been thrust into this dark and sinister underworld. She was unable to say it all out even to Ricardo who becomes an ally in the first arc or to Graziano who becomes close to her during the second arc in the game.)

In truth, the game’s Francesca was always terrified.

She felt lonely, and wanted to run away from it all.

Back when all those people went crazy in the party during the first arc and even when Graziano’s father died in the second arc, and of course from the constant threat against her life by Leonardo’s schemes; normally anybody would struggle to endure through it all.

But even so, [Francesca] continued to act all cheerful and bright, and faced her problems head on while treating every person she met with utmost kindness.

But the face she hid away from everyone, the fact that she wanted to cry openly on someone’s shoulders and vent her frustrations was indeed the [true feelings] that she needed to reveal to return back to her adult form.

(fufu, in the first place I’m……..)

As she walked through the courtyard covered in golden leaves, Francesca smiled triumphantly to herself.

(—–not holding back my feelings in this world at all!)

Holding up her clenched fists, she stood and exclaimed proudly.

(I’m on good terms with papa, Graziano is now my reliable little bro, and even Ricardo was someone I fully trust and vice versa! And now even the last boss Leonardo was friends with me and wasn’t aiming for my life……..)

In the first place, Francesca was simply not afraid of the underworld like her game counterpart.

(of course, I still have my own fears and anxieties in this world as well.——the real mastermind, [Crestani].)

That was the name Graziano’s father, Marquis Savini, uttered while he was still under the influence of the brainwashing.

The man that Leonardo was chasing for the murder of his brother and father, and was the perpetrator behind many of the criminal incidents occurring in the capital.

(However, just knowing of Crestani’s existence doesn’t really mean I’m holding back some incredible amount of emotions or anything like that……)

And while there was of course a big chance that she would get targeted by this mastermind as well, she had many allies by her side and she didn’t feel as anxious as her game self did.

(In this world, I have been acting from the very start with the intention to outright avoid getting turned into a child in the first place. But in the off chance even if I did get turned into a kid, all I have to do is simply let loose of all my deepest feelings and wants………Like how I want friends, or how I want more friends, and also how much I want even more friends!!)

As her eyes glittered and shone, her thoughts remained optimistic.

(………well, that’s how it’s supposed to be but..)

Even so, Francesca slowly hung her head down again.

(why is it…..that I feel so much uneasiness in my heart………)

Francesca had learnt by now. That whenever she had an ominous premonition, it came true almost always.

(This is definitely a flag. For me to feel this much unease when all the conditions are so heavily in my favour, something weird is definitely going to happen……….!)
