The Grand Appearance of the Mother of the Foolish Trapped Rat.

“Well, what is this about then?”

The next morning, Lizbeth muttered as she looked at the door with a shameless smile.

Of course, she was standing in front of the door in which Robin was trapped.

And, from inside the room.

“SHIT!! Is no one here!!? I am the third prince of the Baldyk Empire, Robin Fürst Baldyk himself!!”

He was proudly naming himself out loud from inside without a shred of embarrassment.

“So…….has the Emperor been told about this situation yet?”

Robin’s attendants, as well as the servants of the Taurus Palace silently hung their heads in shame.

Looks like they haven’t told him yet.

“Listen to me. I’m not going to pin this crime on the rest of you guys. In the first place, this is something Brother Robin did entirely on his own will so, it is most certainly not any of your fault. I’ll be sure to tell the Emperor all that as well.”

Hearing my words, the servants and the attendants all seemed to show an expression of relief.

I mean I get it. It’s no joke if your entire family got destroyed because of the crimes of your idiotic master.

“And that’s how it is so, hurry up and go inform the Emperor about all this……..well, I suppose if only the servants of the Taurus Palace go, he’s body to lose his temper instantly so, Maya, do you mind going alongside them as well?”

“Understood.”

Maya gave a respectful bow, and then began walking towards the Emperor’s Zodiac Palace with a wide smile.

It was then.

“Prince Rudolf, a good day to you.”

“!?”

The person that appeared was an extravagantly dressed lady, with a folding fan hiding her lips, and followed by 4 personal maids.

Of course, I knew who she was.

The mother of Fredrik and Robin. The first queen of the Baldyk Empire——Alicia Fürst Baldyk.

“Well well,………if it’s queen Alicia. To appear in a place like this, did something happen?”

I gave a curt bow, and asked her purpose for coming here.

That said, I’m sure she probably heard that her son had been trapped inside the Scorpio Palace from one of her spies.

Although, Maya had indeed gotten rid of most of the spies in here, we did intentionally leave a couple still remaining here.

“Well, the Scorpio palace seemed to be quite noisy so early in the morning so I decided to come and check but………just what exactly happened here?”

Saying a barefaced lie, Queen Alicia simply smiled and looked towards the door.

While ignoring the loud cries of her son still ongoing inside the room.

“Well………this may come as a shock but, last night, it seems a rat snuck inside the Scorpio Palace it seems. And then, somehow, the rat managed to also lock itself inside and became unable to leave as well.”

“ufufu……..there sure are some truly foolish rats it seems.”

As I shrugged my shoulders and spoke in jest, Queen Alicia played along and snickered as well.

How do I say this, the pressure in the air felt so high, that my stomach began to churn.

“By the way, Prince Rudolf, this rat of yours……….would you mind, handing it over to me? It just so happened I was thinking of raising a pet in the Cancer Palace, you see?”

………..as expected, her goal was to secure Robin from my clutches.

Well, she’d have no other business to show up at the Scorpio palace after all.

I’m sure even Queen Alicia would prefer to never meet Beatrice’s son if it was up to her.

But……..I wasn’t going to let go of Robin that easily either.

“Well, this is troubling. To turn a blind eye on a rat problem like this, it would raise question against my personal competence and management skills after all. If something like that happens, how would I ever be able to face the emperor again?”

“Is that so? Even though, I, the first queen herself was personally asking to let me take care of the rat? I’m sure even the Emperor will understand if you tell him that.”

She sure knows how to talk. The moment I give her Robin back, she’d make sure to make it so that this incident never happened.

Worst case, she might even get rid of all of Robin’s attendants and servants of the Taurus Palace just to silence them and get rid of evidence.

And sure enough, the servants and the attendants were all looking at the exchange between me and Queen Alicia with fear in their eyes.

In any case, this was a perfect chance for me.

If I can get Queen Alicia to owe me a debt here, it’ll make my future a lot easier. Also, I should get the servants and the attendants into my debt as well.

“………Then, let’s do it this way. If you were to comply to three wishes of mine, I’ll hand the rat over to you.”
