Btw while I was doing my aforementioned random shit, i also came to know that ‘Sagita’ used in those spells was taken from săgeată, the romanian word for arrow.EDIT: I was wrong. Apparently its taken from sagitta of Latin. Thanks to our reader Psi and The Esteemed 5th Holy Sheeprabbit, Estelion Sharlulu Asheel Vinchance Celenalia di ef Falufiluu’Luufilaafee (The 35th).
Guess I’ll have to change the spell name in upcoming chaps as well…..more work*sighs*

Was this from a comment by the author? Forgive my pedantry if you will, but I would have thought it more reasonable that it comes from Latin (à la Sagitta/Sagittarius) than Romanian…

nah i just put arrow and google translated into romanian which gave me saegeta. The author has used romanian in many other spells as well.

How curious… I don’t suppose those other ones that fit Romanian would fit Latin as well, would they? Just wondering why the author would pick Romanian of all things (and now, also whether Romanian and Latin are very similar haha…) =P

the author uses all sorts of languages. From arabic, latin, greek, everything to make it sound cooler XD

Curiously, if I google translate “fire arrow”, I get:
Latin – sagitta ignis
Romanian – săgeată de foc
I then tried 火矢 for:
Latin – sagitta flammeum
Romanian – Flaming săgeată (lol… “flaming”? i wonder if that’s accurate…)
However, if I do 火箭, I get:
Latin – sagitta ignis
Romanian – săgeată de foc
As such, I’m personally still convinced that this one at least is more likely from Latin instead of Romanian. Just saying =P
